Pharmacological action:

Proteolytic means protein nature. Prepared from the pancreas of cattle. Hydrolyzes proteins and Peptones with the formation of low molecular weight peptides, cleaves the residues formed when aromatic amino acids (tyrosine, triptophan, phenylalanine, methionine).

Indications:

Thrombophlebitis, periodontal disease (inflammatory-dystrophic form), osteomyelitis, sinusitis, otitis, iritis, iridocyclitis, intracapsular cataract extraction, bleeding in the anterior chamber of the eye, swelling of the periorbital region after operations and injuries, tracheitis, bronchitis, empyema, pleural effusion, burns, purulent wounds, bed sores (applied topically).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, malignant neoplasms, decompensated forms of pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic heart failure II-III century., degeneration and liver cirrhosis, infectious hepatitis, pancreatitis, bleeding diathesis, pulmonary emphysema with respiratory failure. Side effects:

Method of application and dose:

Local. On the purulent wound surface is applied for 8 h in sterile napkin moistened with a solution of 25-50 mg of chymotrypsin in 10-50 ml of 0.25% solution of procaine. In/m, adults - 2.5 mg 1 times a day, dissolved immediately before use 5 mg in 1-2 ml of sterile 0.9% NaCl solution or 0.5-2% solution of procaine. The course of treatment - 6-15 injections.
