DESCRIPTION

Enroxil tablets with meat flavor (Enroxil tablets with meat flavor) for the treatment of dogs with diseases of bacterial and mycoplasma etiology. In appearance, the drug is a round, slightly biconvex light brown tablets with white or dark inclusions, with a risk on one side.

STRUCTURE

In 1 tablet, the drug contains enrofloxacin, 50 mg, respectively, as an active substance, and as excipients: mannitol, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, meat flavor 10022, methacrylic acid copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, dibutylsebacinate, sodium croscarmellose, silicon dioxide colloidal, talc and magnesium stearate.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Enroxil tablets with meat flavor belongs to the antibacterial drugs of the group of fluoroquinolones.

Enrofloxacin is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus hyicus, streptococcus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Campylobacter spp., Corynebacterium pyogenes, Proteus spp., Mycoplasma spp., Brucella canis, Actinobacillus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Haemophillus spp., Clostridium perfringens.

After oral administration, enrofloxacin is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into most organs and tissues of the body. Its maximum concentration in the blood is reached after 1.5-2.0 hours and is maintained at the therapeutic level for 24 hours. Enrofloxacin is released from the body of animals mainly in unchanged form with urine and bile.

Enroxil tablets with meat taste according to the degree of exposure to the body belongs to low-risk substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

INDICATIONS

Enroxil meat-flavored tablets are used to treat dogs and cats with diseases of the respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system, soft tissue infections and otitis media, infected wounds and other diseases of bacterial and mycoplasma etiology, the pathogens of which are sensitive to enrofloxacin.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Enroxil meat-flavored tablets are applied to animals orally individually in a fragmented form with food or forcibly administered to the root of the tongue at a daily dose of 5 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight, which is: one tablet weighing 0.055 g (15 mg of enrofloxacin) per 3 kg of animal weight, one tablet weighing 0.183 g (50 mg of enrofloxacin) per 10 kg of animal weight and one tablet weighing 0.55 g (150 mg of enrofloxacin) per 30 kg of animal weight.

The daily dose of the drug can be divided into two doses. The duration of the course of treatment is 5-1O days.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

With an overdose of the drug in animals, there may be a decrease in appetite, depression, vomiting, diarrhea, nervous disorders. Sim-ptomatic treatment.

The features of the drug's action during its first use and cancellation have not been established.

Special safety studies of the use of enrofloxacin on target animals (cats and dogs) during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted. The drug can be used in lactating and pregnant females if the benefits of its use exceed the potential risk.

It is forbidden to use Enroxil tablets with meat flavor to kittens younger than 2 months, puppies younger than 12 months (puppies of large breeds-younger than 18 months) because of the possible negative impact on the cartilage tissue during active growth.

You should avoid skipping the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic effectiveness. In case of missing one dose, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindications to use are increased individual sensitivity of the animal to phytoinolones and other components of the drug. It is forbidden to use Enroxil tablets with meat flavor in animals with significant disorders of the development of cartilage tissue and lesions of the central nervous system, accompanied by convulsions.

SIDE EFFECTS

When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications are usually not observed. In rare cases, vomiting, frequent defecation and softening of the feces are possible, these symptoms disappear spontaneously and do not require discontinuation of the drug.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
