The composition and form of issue:

Lozenges. 1 tablet contains:

Echinacea extract 200 mg

excipients: sorbitol, aspartame, magnesium stearate, flavouring 

in blisters or strips 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 PCs. in cardboard pack 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 blisters or strips.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Round pill valium forms, with chamfer a light brown color, with light and dark inclusions, with a characteristic odor. On both sides engraved "NP" in front of the tree.

Feature:

Immunostimulatory agent of plant origin.

Description pharmacological action:

Increases nonspecific resistance, activates macrophages and granulocytes, enhances phagocytosis. Release of cytokines leads to proliferation and stimulation of immune cells. The contents properdin in the blood serum increases. Some substances contained in Echinacea extract, revealed antiviral activity against influenza viruses and herpes, as well as inhibitory effect on tissue and bacterial hyaluronidase. Increases resistance to viral, bacterial and fungal infections.

Indications:

  • prevention of ARI and ARI
  • at initial signs of flu and colds (in combination therapy)
  • in an adjuvant in recurrent infections of respiratory and urinary tract.

Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity to Echinacea purpurea, to other plants of the Compositae family (chamomile, Arnica, Golden Daisy, marigolds, etc.) and to any other ingredients of the preparation
  • systemic connective tissue disease, progressive systemic diseases (such as tuberculosis, leukemia, generalized atherosclerosis)
  • autoimmune diseases, multiple sclerosis
  • HIV, AIDS
  • children's age (till 12 years).

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation because the drug's safety in these situations has not been studied.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, shortness of breath, dizziness, decrease in blood pressure). With the development of hypersensitivity, the drug should be discontinued.

Drug interactions:

To date, no reports of drug interactions with other drugs. Since Echinacea has immune stimulating effects, concurrent use of immunosuppressants and corticosteroids can weaken their effect, and simultaneous use of the drug with cytokines may enhance their effect.

Method of application and dose:

Keep the mouth to complete resorption. Adults and children over 12 years — 1 table. 3-4 times a day. For best results the drug should be taken at least 1 week. The drug should not be taken for a long time (more than 8 weeks).

Overdose:

Is a safe drug. So far, no reports of overdose were not.
