The composition and form of issue: 

Elixir 100 ml contains:

Hypericum herb extract liquid 2, 084 g

other ingredients: concentrate cherry liqueur — 0, 573 g wine liquor — 101, 543 g 

in dark glass bottles at 20 or 250 ml cartons 1 a bottle.

Description pharmaceutical form:

Liquid reddish-brown color. During storage, the formation of a small precipitate or turbidity.

Feature:

Description pharmacological action:

Has a sedative and antidepressant effects.

The main active ingredients of St. John's wort positive effect on the functional state of Central and vegetative nervous system, improves mood, increases mental and physical activity, normalizes sleep.

Indications:

• psychovegetative disorders (accompanied by depressed mood, apathy, asthenia)
  
• state of anxiety and concern
  
• neurotic reactions
  
• depression mild to moderate severity.
  

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to the drug
  
• depression severe (in this case, you should consult a doctor)
  
• photosensitivity while taking St. John's wort preparations in anamnesis
  
• children up to age 12 years.
  

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Dispepsicheskie and possible allergic reaction (rare), photosensitivity reactions (mostly in light-skinned patients).

Drug interactions:

The drug activates microsomal oxidation (cytochrome P450), so it should be taken with caution with concomitant treatment with drugs containing digoxin, theophylline, asthma drugs, anticonvulsants, antidepressants (tricyclic, SSRIs), ANTIMIGRAINE drugs (triptan), cyclosporine, indinavir, reserpine. May increase the effects of funds for General anesthesia and narcotic analgesics (before taking the drug should consult a doctor).

Not recommended simultaneous intake with MAO inhibitors.

Concomitant use of photosensitizing drugs can lead to increased photosensitivity.

The drug can be used with other psychotropic drugs.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, after eating and before bedtime. 20 ml 3 times a day. The drug should be taken regularly for 6-8 weeks.

If during this time there was no improvement, should consult your doctor.

Repeated courses are possible after consultation with the doctor.

Overdose:

Symptoms: may increase the side effects (if there are too many accepted drugs). To date there are no data on cases of poisoning with preparations of St. John's wort.

Treatment: withdrawal of preparation, the appointment of activated carbon. Should avoid staying in the sun for 1-2 weeks and see a doctor.

Special instructions:

While taking the drug, especially in patients with fair skin, should avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and visits to Solarium.

During treatment should refrain from drinking alcohol (the drug contains alcohol).

Does not affect the speed of reaction in the management of vehicles and mechanisms.
