Dizparkol is a complex antibacterial drug. It is a transparent liquid of yellow-green color.
STRUCTURE
1 ml of which contains as active ingredients 50 mg of levomycetin, 20 mg of metronidazole and 20 mg of tylosin base, as well as as auxiliary components 30 mg of benzyl alcohol, 0.15 ml of N,N-dimethylacetamide, 0.65 ml of 1.2 propylene glycol and up to 1 ml of polyethylene oxide 400.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Levomycetin is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms: staphylococci, streptococci, diplococci, Salmonella, pasteurella, Escherichia, protea, etc. It acts on strains of bacteria resistant to penicillins, streptomycin, and sulfonamides. It is active against gram-negative anaerobes. Metronidazole is effective against a number of protozoa: trichomonas, giardia, balantidium, amoebae, histomonas, shows effectiveness against spore-forming and non-spore-forming anaerobic bacteria. Tylosin is active against most Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria, including streptococci, leptospira, corynebacteria, Clostridium, Erysipelotrix, pasteurella, Treponema chyodizenterii, spirochetes, mycoplasma, etc. Levomycetin, metronidazole and tylosin base, which are part of the drug, penetrate well into various tissues and body fluids, remaining at the therapeutic level in the blood serum for 48 hours, and are excreted from the body with urine and feces.
The drug, according to the degree of exposure to the body of warm-blooded animals, belongs to moderately dangerous substances, in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritant and sensitizing effect.
INDICATIONS
It is prescribed for the treatment of colibacteriosis and salmonellosis in piglets and calves and dysentery in piglets.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Before use, dizparkol is heated to 37-38 ° C. For the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of young cattle, the drug is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 0.15 ml per 1 kg of animal weight, to young pigs at a dose of 0.2 ml per 1 kg of animal weight twice with an interval of 24 hours.
In severe cases, the drug is administered three times with an interval of 24 hours. The maximum volume of disparkol for administration in one place should not exceed 10 ml for calves, and 5 ml for piglets. When large volumes are administered, the dose of the drug is divided and administered in different places. With repeated use, it is recommended to change the injection site.
SIDE EFFECTS
In rare cases, after the use of disparkol, individual reactions are possible (short-term pain reaction at the injection site, as well as anxiety), which pass spontaneously after stopping the use of the drug.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to levomycetin, metronidazole, and tylosin. It should not be used in animals with impaired hematopoiesis.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals forcibly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.
