Pharmacological action
The drug Citovir-3 is a means of etiotropic and immunostimulating therapy, has an indirect antiviral effect against influenza viruses A and b and other viruses that cause acute respiratory viral diseases.
Bendazol in the body induces the production of endogenous interferon, has a moderate immunostimulating activity, which is associated with the regulation of the ratio of the concentrations of cGMP and camp in immune cells (increases the content of cGMP), leading to the proliferation of Mature sensitized T - and b-lymphocytes, secretion of their factors of mutual regulation, cooperative response and activation of the final effector of cell function. Enzymes, the production of which is induced by interferon in cells of various organs, inhibit virus replication.
Alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan (timogen) is a synergist immunomodulatory actions of bendazola, normalizing T-cell immunity. Ascorbic acid normalizes capillary permeability, inhibits the formation of Pg and other inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing inflammation, and exhibits antioxidant activity, neutralizing oxygen radicals that accompany the inflammatory process, increases the body's resistance to infection.
Testimony
Prevention and complex therapy of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children from one year.
Contraindications
— diabetes;
— pregnancy;
— children up to age 1 year;
— hypersensitivity to the drug Citovir-3.
Caution: breast-feeding may use if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the child.
Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding
Citovir-3 is contraindicated during pregnancy. In the period of breast-feeding may use if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the child.
Special instructions
Repeated courses recommended periodic monitoring of the concentration of glucose in the blood.
Rules of preparation of the solution Citovir-3: in the vial with the powder add 40 ml of water (boiled, cooled to room temperature), shake well. The contents are completely dissolved. The volume of the solution after the addition of water 50 ml.

Side effects
Short-term decrease in blood pressure.
Allergic reactions: urticaria. In these cases, the use of the drug is stopped and symptomatic treatment is prescribed, antihistamines.
Drug interactions
Interaction of alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan with drugs is not revealed.
Bendazol - prevents the increase in systemic vascular resistance due to non-selective beta-blockers. It enhances the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive and diuretic drugs. Phentolamine enhances the hypotensive effect of bendazola.
Ascorbic acid increases the blood concentration of benzilpenitsillina and tetracyclines. Improves the intestinal absorption of drugs in the Fe. Reduces the efficiency of heparin and indirect anticoagulants. Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), oral contraceptives, fresh juices and alkaline water reduce se absorption and assimilation. While the use of ASA increases the urinary excretion of ascorbic acid and decreases the secretion of ask. Ask reduces the absorption of ascorbic acid by about 30 %.
Ascorbic acid increases the risk of christallurii in treating salicilatami and short-acting sulfonamides, inhibits the renal excretion of acids increases the excretion of drugs having an alkaline reaction (including alkaloids), reduces the blood concentration of oral contraceptives.
While the application reduces chronotropic effect of isoprenaline.
Reduces the therapeutic effect of antipsychotic drugs (neuroleptics) - fenotiazina derivatives, tubular reabsorption of amphetamine and tricyclic antidepressants. Barbiturates and primidon increase the excretion of ascorbic acid in the urine.
