Composition and form of issue:

1 tablet (120 mg) contains 100 mg of sulfamethoxazole and 20 mg of trimethoprim in a cardboard box 2 blisters of 10 PCs.

1 tablet (480 mg) — sulfametoksazola 400 mg and trimetoprima 80 mg in a carton 2 blisters to 10 PCs

1 tablet (960 mg) — sulfametoxazole 800 mg and trimethoprim 160 mg in plastic bottles of 20 PCs.

5 ml suspension for oral administration — sulfametoxazole 200 mg and trimethoprim 40 mg in 100 ml glass bottles.

Pharmacological action:

Blocks the metabolism of bacteria: disrupts the synthesis of dihydrofolic acid and prevents its transformation into tetrahydrofolic acid.

Description of pharmacological action:

Effective against streptococci, staphylococci, meningococci, gonococci, Salmonella, aerobic bacteria, Shigella, cholera Vibrio, etc., except Pseudomonas, mycobacteria, and viruses and fungi.

Indications:

Respiratory infections (acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis) and urinary tract infections (pyelonephritis, pyelitis, acute and chronic cystitis, urethritis), gastrointestinal tract infections (enteritis, typhoid, paratyphoid), skin and soft tissues.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, impaired liver and kidney function.

Side effect:

Nausea, stomatitis, vomiting, fever, drowsiness, decreased mental activity, fatigue, weakness, hemolytic anemia (in patients with glucose deficiency?6-phosphate dehydrogenase) rarely — aplastic anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia.

Dosage and administration:

Inside, morning and evening, after meals.

Tablets: adults and children over 12 years — 1-3 table. 480 mg (480-1440 mg) or 0, 5-1, 5 table. 960 mg (480-1440 mg), the maximum daily dose — 2880 mg children from 6 to 12 years — 1 table. 480 mg, the maximum daily dose — 960 mg children from 1 year to 5 years — 2 table. 120 mg (240 mg), the maximum daily dose — 480 mg.

Suspension: adults and children up to 12 years — 2 tsp (10 ml), children from 1 year to 5 years — 1 tsp, children up to 1 year — 0, 5 tsp. The duration of the course depends on the disease, but should not exceed 14 days.

Precautionary measures:

During treatment, it is necessary to introduce a sufficient amount of fluid into the body and avoid solar irradiation. Patients with diabetes mellitus should consult a doctor before using the suspension.
