Structure and Composition: 

Ointment 1%. 1g contain clotrimazole 10 mg

in tubes of 20 g in paper cartons 1 tube.

Pharmachologic effect:

It violates the synthesis of ergosterol, the cell membrane of fungi.

Pharmacokinetics:

It characterized by a high penetrating power. The concentration in the epidermis is higher than in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Virtually no systemic effects.

Description of the pharmacological actions:

It has a wide spectrum of action. It is active against dermatophytes, yeast fungi of the genus Candida Corynebacterium minutissimum, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Trichomonas.

Indications:

Fungal skin and mucous membranes caused by dermatophytes, molds and yeast-like fungi, multicolored lichen, erythrasma, vulvovaginal candidiasis, trichomoniasis, fungal infections, complicated by secondary pyoderma, readjustment of the birth canal before delivery.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (I term).

Side effect:

Allergic reactions: redness, itching, rash.

Drug Interactions:

Efficiency reduces Nystatin.

Dosage and administration:

Topically, intravaginally, ointment thin layer to the affected skin area three times a day until the disappearance of subjective symptoms, and continued for 2 weeks. A single dose - a column of 5 mm on the surface of an area the size of a palm. When vaginal infections - injected deep into the vagina with an applicator 1 time per day. When vulvovaginal candidiasis and Candida balanitis - 2-3 times a day for 1-2 weeks. The total duration of treatment of ringworm - 3-4 weeks, erythrasma - 2-4 weeks, pityriasis versicolor - 1-3 weeks.

Precautionary measures:

Special care is required treatment of drivers of vehicles and persons who work with potentially dangerous machinery.

Special instructions:

simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is necessary to prevent urogenital reinfection.
