Structure and Composition: 

Vaginal Tablets. 1 tablet contains clotrimazole 100 mg

Excipients: adipic acid, corn starch, lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipagine) sodium bicarbonate sodium glycolate (Primogel), povidone K-30, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipazol) talc

Description pharmaceutical form:

White biconvex uncoated tablet, oval, truncated on one side with a monogram «G» and on one side of the sign «B6» - to another.

Characteristic:

Clotrimazole - imidazole. Broad antifungal spectrum.

Pharmachologic effect:

Violates the synthesis of ergosterol, a component of fungal cell membranes, causing changes in its structure and properties leads to cell lysis.

Pharmacokinetics:

Resorption is 3-10% of the administered dose.

Description of the pharmacological actions:

By clotrimazole sensitive dermatophytes, yeasts (the genus Candida, Torulopsis glabrata, the genus Rhodotorula), molds, as well as the causative agent of Pityriasis versicolor (pityriasis versicolor) and pathogen erythrasma.

Furthermore, providing antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive (staphylococci, and streptococci) and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides, Gardnerella vaginalis), as well as against Trichomonas vaginalis, Malassezia furfur, Corynebacterium minutissimum.

Indications:

Genital infections caused by the yeast Candida species and / or Trichomonas vaginalis (vulvovaginal candidiasis, trichomoniasis) genital superinfection, caused by bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole (mixed vaginal infection, bacterial vaginosis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity reactions to clotrimazole.

Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding:

In clinical and experimental studies, it was found that the use of Candida-B6 during pregnancy and lactation has a negative impact on the health of the woman or the fetus. However, the question of the appointment of the drug should be decided by the doctor individually. In this case, the use of the applicator is not recommended.

Side effect:

Rarely - the feeling of a small burning sensation immediately after administration of the tablet, which passes with continued treatment.

Drug Interactions:

Vaginal administration reduces the activity of amphotericin B, and other polyene antibiotics.

When applied simultaneously with Nystatin Candida activity-B6 may decrease.

Dosage and administration:

Locally. Introduced vaginally, deep in the "supine" with slightly bent legs. According to Table 1. (100 mg), 1 time per day (in the evening) for six days. Repeated treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.

Special instructions:

simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners is necessary to prevent urogenital reinfection.

If trichomoniasis for more successful treatment in conjunction with the preparation of Candide-B6 should be given other drugs which have systemic effects, such as metronidazole.

Vaginal tablets are not recommended for use during menstruation.
