100 ml ear drops contain rifamycin sodium 2, 6 g, which corresponds to 2000000 IU in vials with a pipette of 10 ml.
Pharmacological action:
Suppresses RNA synthesis of microbial cells by forming a stable complex with DNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
Description of the pharmacological action:
Active against staphylococci, hemolytic Streptococcus, pneumococcus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, meningococcus, gonococcus in higher concentrations - against E. coli, Proteus spp. It acts on strains resistant to semisynthetic penicillins and cephalosporins.
Indications:
Acute and chronic otitis media (incl.isolated purulent lesions of the tympanic membrane and its perforation), conditions after surgery on the middle ear.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity.
Side effect:
Pink color of the tympanic membrane (visible during otoscopy).
Method of application and doses:
Externally, burying in the external auditory canal before use, the bottle is warmed by holding it in your hand. 5 drops (children — 3 drops) 3 times a day or twice a day pour into the external auditory canal for a few minutes. Course-1-3 days (no more).
Precautionary measures:
It is necessary to avoid contact with clothing, as the solution leaves stains on the fabric.
Special instruction:
Possible occurrence of strains resistant to rifampicin. Contains sulfites.
