Pharmacological action
Has a local irritant and analgesic action. Neurotropic component of snake venom, part, it has an analgesic effect; the enzymatic component with hyaluronidase activity accelerates the healing process. Causes irritation of the sensory receptors of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, dilates blood vessels, improves tissue trophism.
Testimony
Diseases of musculoskeletal system and peripheral nervous system, accompanied by pain syndrome: arthritis of different etiology, arthralgia, neuralgia, myalgia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to drug, skin diseases (including allergic and pustulous, violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of application of the drug), active pulmonary tuberculosis, fevers, cachexia, severe cerebral insufficiency and coronary circulation, the propensity to angiospasm, severe hepatic or renal failure, pregnancy, breastfeeding, hypersensitivity to salicylates, children up to age 6 years.
With caution
Children's age from 6 to 18 years (the necessity of application of the drug in children is determined individually). Of indicate a history of bronchial asthma, provoked by taking acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding
The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Special instructions
After the drug should wash hands thoroughly. Avoid contact ointments in the eye, mucous membranes and damaged skin. When you get the ointment in eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water.
Composition
the Viper venom ordinary – 5 mouse units of action, salicylic acid – 1 g synthetic camphor – 3 g, turpentine gum is 3 g. excipients - emulsifier No. 1 (Lanette) – 8 g of paraffin oil firm – 3 g, medical vaseline – 7 g, glycerol(glycerin) – 2 g, sodium chloride solution for infusion is an isotonic 0, 9% – 8 g, water for injection to 100 g.
Method of application and doses
Externally, 5-10 g (1-2 tsp) of ointment parts applied on the area of the painful areas and RUB into the skin 1 time/day, in severe pain – 2 times/day until the disappearance of pain, but not more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
