Pharmacological action
Furacilin is a powder for the preparation of a solution for external use
Antiseptic
Bactericidal action during rinsing, irrigation and applications In medicine, this antimicrobial agent is used to treat microbial infections of the ENT organs and eyes, washing the pleural cavities, to prevent infection and decomposition processes on the surface of open wounds. Furacillin for gargling is often prescribed in the treatment of sore throat and tonsillitis.
The drug provides a pronounced antiseptic and antimicrobial effect, with regular rinsing it helps to wash out pathogenic microflora and purulent secretions, stops the growth and reproduction of bacteria.
The main pathological conditions requiring the external use of Furacilin are:
minor skin injuries (wounds, scratches, cuts, abrasions), purulent wounds, pressure sores, burns and frostbite (2nd and 3rd degrees).
Topical application of Furacilin is recommended for the following diseases:
inflammatory processes in the oral cavity (gingivitis, stomatitis),
inflammatory eye lesions (conjunctivitis, blepharitis),
boils of the external auditory canal or acute otitis media (external, medium),
osteomyelitis,
acute tonsillitis,
purulent-inflammatory processes in the articular or pleural cavities.
