Composition and form of issue:

Ointment for external use and inhalation. 100g contains:

eucalyptus oil 7, 5 g

pine needles oil 7, 5 g

camphor 5 g

auxiliary substances: corn oil, 48 g of the solid fat — 8 g beeswax — 24 g

in jars of dark glass 20 and 50 g in the paper cartons 1 Bank.

Description of dosage form:

Homogeneous translucent ointment of light yellow color with a characteristic smell.

Description of pharmacological action:

It irritates the receptors of mucous membranes, skin and subcutaneous formations, which is accompanied by the release of enkephalins, endorphins and other peptides that regulate pain sensitivity, vascular permeability, etc., and manifests analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. The expectorant effect is due to stimulation of the ciliated epithelium of the mucous membranes, increased secretion of the bronchi, dilution of sputum. Promotes faster evacuation of sputum from the respiratory tract. Causes death of many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (including Staphylococcus aureus and tuberculosis mycobacteria).

Indications:

Inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including bronchitis, accompanied by the formation of intractable sputum and cough — as part of the complex therapy.

Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity to the drug components
  • bronchial asthma
  • spastic cough
  • damage to the skin
  • the presence of skin diseases in the place of the intended application of the drug
  • children's age (up to 3 years).

Use during pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

Side effect:

There are allergic reactions, bronchospasm. In rare cases-the development of seizures caused by the action of camphor.

Dosage and administration:

Outwardly. Adults and children over 3 years old ointment is applied to the skin of the back and chest and rubbed with light massage movements, then covered with a greased place warm flannel or wool towel to preserve heat. The procedure is repeated several times a day, especially at night.

Inhalant. Prepare a hot solution (in 0, 5-1 l of hot water, but not boiling water, dissolve 2 tsp of the drug) and conduct inhalation for 5-10 minutes.
