* the number of active ingredients, erythromycin and zinc acetate dihydrate, increased by 3, 35% to compensate for their concentrations in the preparation of the finished product, the nominal volume of which increases when the active ingredients are mixed with a solvent (every 1000 mg powder equivalent to 0, 79 ml).

in a bottle, complete with a solvent in a bottle of 30 ml and an applicator in a box 1 set.

Description of dosage form:

The prepared solution is a colorless transparent liquid.

Characteristic:

Erythromycin-zinc complex.

Pharmacological action:

Erythromycin blocks the synthesis of microbial cell protein, causing bacteriostatic effect. Zinc stabilizes cell membranes, has astringent, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect, reduces the production of sebum secretion.

Pharmacokinetics:

The complex bond of the preparation components ensures good penetration of active substances into the skin. Zinc is mainly associated with the follicular epithelium and is not resorbed into the systemic bloodstream. A small part of erythromycin undergoes systemic distribution and is subsequently excreted from the body.

Description of the pharmacological action:

Erythromycin acts bacteriostatically on microorganisms that cause acne: Propionibacterium acne and Streptococcus epidermidis. Zinc reduces the production of sebum secretion, has a binding effect.

Indications:

Acne (treatment).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to erythromycin, other macrolides and zinc.

Application for pregnancy and breastfeeding:

It is now established that it is possible to use the drug during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) according to the indications in the recommended doses.

Side effect:

Local reactions-burning sensation, irritation, dry skin. As a rule, these reactions are mild and do not require discontinuation of the drug and/or symptomatic therapy.

Drug interaction:

To date, no established clinically significant interactions of Zineryt with other drugs.

Method of application and doses:

Outwardly. Tilting the bottle with the prepared solution down, with light pressure on the applicator is applied a thin layer on the entire affected area of the skin 2 times a day: in the morning (women — before applying makeup) and in the evening (after washing). The speed of applying the solution is regulated by the force of pressing the applicator on the skin. Approximate single dose of 0, 5 ml. After drying the solution becomes invisible. Course of treatment-10-12 weeks (improvement is possible after 2 weeks).

Overdose:

Accidental overdose is unlikely due to the peculiarities of local use of the drug.

Precautionary measures:

It is necessary to take into account the probability of developing cross-resistance to other macrolides, lincomycin, clindamycin. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes of the mouth and nose (possible irritation or burns).
