Pharmachologic effect:

It inhibits cell wall peptidoglycan polymerase microorganisms and causes their death.

Indications:

Bacterial infections: bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, enterocolitis, skin and soft tissue infections, gonorrhea.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, infectious mononucleosis, lymphoid leukemia, allergic diathesis, pregnancy.

Side effect:

acute reaction (pyrexia), arthralgia, goiter, allergic reactions (rhinitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria, erythema, angioedema, eosinophilia).

Dosage and administration:

Inside, 500 mg 3 times a day in severe disease - up to 3 g / day. Babies - 3 times a day, aged 5 to 10 years - 250 mg of 2 to 5 years - 125 mg to 2 years - 20 mg / kg. The course of treatment 5-12 days. For the treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea men appoint 3 g single dose, women - 3 g twice.
