Composition and form of issue:

Tablets. 1 tablet contains:

medroxyprogesterone acetate 100 or 500 mg

excipients: corn starch magnesium stearate MCC gelatin polyethylene glycol 400 sodium starch salt sodium docusate (85%) with sodium benzoate (15%)

Description of dosage form:

Tablets of 100 mg: white, round, flat with a notch.

Tablets of 500 mg: white, oblong, biconvex.

Indications:

Hormone-dependent forms of recurrent breast cancer in menopausal women (palliative care), recurrent and/or metastatic endometrial cancer, kidney (additional and/or palliative care).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy.

Side effect:

From the nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, headache, nervousness, sleep disorders, drowsiness, weakness, depression.

From the cardiovascular system and blood (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): thromboembolism, thrombophlebitis.

Allergic reactions: rash, hives in some cases-anaphylactoid reactions.

Other: nausea, tenderness of the mammary glands, galactorrhea, fever, symptoms of Cushing's (with long-term high doses).

Dosage and administration:

Inside, with recurrent breast cancer in menopausal women 400-1200 mg / day, with recurrent endometrial and kidney cancer-200-600 mg / day.
