The composition and form of issue: 

Gel for external use, 100 g contains:

ibuprofen 5 g

levomenthol (menthol) 3 g

auxiliary substances: purified water-44, 5 g ethanol denatured 96% - 30 g propylene glycol-10 g diisopropanolamine-5, 5 g carbomer-2 g 

in tubes of 15, 30, 50 or 100 g in a pack of cardboard 1 tube.

Description of dosage form:

Transparent gel with the smell of menthol.

Description of the pharmacological action:

Deep reef gel is a combination of two active components of ibuprofen and menthol.

Menthol has a local irritating effect, which causes the development of rapid analgesic effect of the drug.

Ibuprofen has a local analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative effect in the symptomatic treatment of diseases of the joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles. The drug Dip reef reduces pain and inflammation, is effective in joint pain when moving and at rest, causes a decrease in morning stiffness of the joints.

Indications:

  • diseases of the musculoskeletal system (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondyloarthritis, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis with root syndrome, radiculitis, lumbago, sciatica)
  • rheumatic diseases of soft tissues (tenosynovitis, bursitis, lesion of periarticular tissues)
  • post-traumatic inflammation of soft tissue and joints e.g. due to sprains, overvoltage and bruises
  • back pain, lower back pain.

Contraindications:

  • hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other components of the drug
  • bronchial asthma, provoked by taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs
  • violation of the integrity of the skin
  • pregnancy
  • lactation
  • children under 14 years of age.

With caution:

  • hepatic porphyria (exacerbation)
  • erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract
  • severe violations of the liver and kidneys
  • chronic heart failure
  • bronchial asthma
  • old age.

Side effect:

Local reactions: eczema, photosensitization, contact dermatitis (itching, redness, swelling of the treated skin, papules, vesicles, peeling).

Systemic reaction: a generalized skin rash, allergic reactions, urticaria, angioneurotic edema, bronhospasticskie reaction, photosensitivity.

Drug interaction:

The drug can enhance the effect of drugs that cause photosensitization. Clinically significant interaction with other drugs is not described.

Method of application and doses:

Externally (for adults and children older than 14 years). A small amount of gel (3-5 cm) is applied in a thin layer to the skin over the focus of inflammation and lightly rubbed up to 4 times a day. It is always necessary to wash your hands after applying Dip Reef, if they are not the object of treatment.

The duration of use of the drug without consulting a doctor — no more than 10 days. If you need a longer application, you should consult your doctor.

Overdose:

Not described.

Special instruction:

Deep relief should not apply to children under 14 years old without the advice of a doctor. Before using the drug, you should consult your doctor if you have kidney disease. The gel should be applied only to intact skin, avoiding contact with open wounds. After application you should not apply an occlusive (airtight) dressing!

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. With prolonged use of large amounts of the drug there is a risk of systemic side effects.
