Composition and form of issue:

5 g of powder for hot drink with lemon or black currant flavor contains paracetamol 750 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg and ascorbic acid 60 mg in 5 g bags, in a cardboard box 5, 10 or 50 bags.

Description of pharmacological action:

Paracetamol inhibits the synthesis of PG, including in the Central nervous system, has analgesic and antipyretic (especially in feverish syndrome) effect. Phenylephrine hydrochloride — a sympathomimetic, stimulating mainly the peripheral alpha1-receptors, eliminates swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose. Ascorbic acid compensates for the growing need for vitamin C in the early stages of colds and acute viral infections.

Indications:

Pain and fever syndrome (cold, flu, headache, swelling of the nasal mucosa, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (including to individual components of the drug), severe liver or kidney disorders, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, heart disease.

Side effect:

Increased blood PRESSURE, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia, heartbeat, allergic reactions (skin rashes).

Drug interaction:

Enhances the anticoagulant effect of indirect anticoagulants. Metoclopramide and domperidone increase, and cholestyramine reduces the rate and completeness of absorption.

Dosage and administration:

Inside, adults and children over 12 years — the contents of 1 bag dissolve in a glass of hot water, the dose can be repeated after 6-8 hours (but not more than 4 times a day).

Precautionary measures:

It can not be combined with MAO inhibitors, beta-blockers, antihypertensive agents, with other drugs for colds and flu, as well as containing paracetamol. Pregnant women can be used only on the advice of a doctor. Not recommended for children under 12 years.
