Pharmachologic effect:

Riboxin - preparation that improves metabolism and energy supply tissue reduces tissue hypoxia. It is a derivative of purine. Inosine can be seen as a precursor of ATP. It has anabolic effects. It activates the myocardial metabolism. Inosine increases the activity of some enzymes of the Krebs cycle, stimulates the synthesis of nucleotides. It stops the process of destruction of the sarcolemma of ischemic cardiomyocytes and provides energy intracellular transport. By improving microcirculation drug reduces the size of necrosis and myocardial ischemia.

Indications:

Riboxin prescribed to adults in the treatment of coronary heart disease, myocardial, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias associated with the use of cardiac glycosides.

Assign with hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver caused by alcohol or drugs, and urokoproporfirii.

As a means of protection against renal pharmacological ischemic kidney in suspension by circulation.

The drug improves the visual function of open-angle glaucoma with normalized form under the influence of antihypertensive therapy intraocular pressure.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosing and Administration

Riboxin appointed interior before eating.

In the first days of treatment Riboxin appoint 1 tab. 3-4 times a day (600-800 mg). With good endurance dose increase for 2-3 days prior to 1.2-2.4 grams per day. The duration of a course of the drug 4-15 weeks.

When urokoproporfirii Riboxin appoint 1 tab. 4 times per day. Duration of treatment is 1-3 months.

Riboxin solution of 2% is used intravenously. Enter the slow jet or drip (40-60 drops to 1 minute).

Treatment is initiated by introducing 10 ml (200 mg), 1 time per day. With good tolerance dose can be increased to 20 ml (400 mg) 1-2 times a day. Duration of treatment - 10-15 days.

For drip diluted in isotonic solution riboksina chloride or 5% glucose solution, sodium solution to 250 ml.

Side effect

Allergic reactions such as urticaria, pruritus, flushing of the skin (drug overturned).

Rare: increased concentration of uric acid in the blood.

Prolonged use: may increase gout.

Special instructions:

Riboxin does not apply to emergency correction of cardiac activity.

Drug interactions

When used as part of combination therapy Riboxin enhances the effectiveness of antiarrhythmic, antianginal and inotropic drugs.

Clinically significant interactions with drugs Riboxin other groups are not described.
