Pharmacological action:

Caffetin® light is a combined drug analgesic action. Paracetamol and propyphenazone has analgesic and antipyretic action. The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. The presence of caffeine in the combined analgesics increases the absorption of components. The combination of the drug provides for a satisfactory analgesic effect, and the use of small amounts that are part of the components reduces the risk of side effects.

Pharmacokinetics:

Pharmacokinetic characteristics of the combined drugs are not significant, since the drugs are not intended for the treatment of chronic diseases and therefore are used as needed or in the form of short-term courses. All active components of the drug Caffetin® light have a similar pharmacokinetic profile, which justifies the rationality of analgesic combination. Absorbed very quickly and their maximum concentrations in plasma are achieved after 30 to 60 minutes after administration. Metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine. During the biotransformation of paracetamol, a small amount of toxic metabolite N-acetil-p-benzo-quinoneimine is created, which can show disturbances in the liver
