Tetryzolin hydrochloride 0.5 mg
Excipients: boric acid sodium tetraborate decahydrate disodium edetate dihydrate benzalkonium chloride purified water

Description pharmacological action:
Alpha-Agonists, has a vasoconstrictor and decongestant actions. The local application reduces the swelling of the conjunctiva, burning sensation, soreness of the mucous membrane of the eyes, lacrimation. The vasoconstrictor effect develops over several minutes and saved 4-8 h
Indications:
- moderate eye irritation: itching, swelling and conjunctival hyperemia, burning, tearing, inetsirovany sclera caused by chemical and physical factors (dust, cosmetics, swimming in chlorinated water, the effect of bright light or radiation of the computer monitor)
- allergic conjunctivitis.
Contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to the drug
- glaucoma
- endothelial-epithelial dystrophy of the cornea

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Use in pregnancy and lactation is possible only if the expected benefit exceeds the risk to the mother or child.
Side effects:
Local: increased intraocular pressure, a sense of stinging and reactive hyperemia eye rarely mydriasis.
System: increased blood pressure, hyperglycemia, disruption of the heart, headache, nausea, drowsiness, weakness, tremor, dizziness, insomnia, tachycardia, allergic reactions.
Drug interactions:
The drug should not be administered concomitantly with MAO inhibitors (phenelzine, nialamide, iproniazid, etc.) and within 10 days after the termination of their employment.
The simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, guanetidina can cause hypertension, tachycardia.
Simultaneous use of reserpine, insulin, propranolol, General anesthetics, atropine increases the risk of cardiovascular effects tetryzoline.
Concurrent use with guanetidina may cause mydriasis (pupil dilation), with a temporary disturbance of vision.
Method of application and dose:
Local.
Adults and children older than 3 years, in each eye in the lower conjunctival SAC — 1-2 drops 2-3 times per day.
If improvement has not occurred within 48 h, further intake must be stopped and consult a doctor.
Overdose:
The development of systemic symptoms of possible overdose in case of accidental or deliberate reception of the drug inside or exceed the dosage in the local application.
Symptoms: mydriasis, nausea, cyanosis, fever, cramps, arrhythmia, hypertension, pulmonary edema, dyspnea. Excessive systemic absorption of imidazole derivatives may cause CNS depression with drowsiness, hypothermia, bradycardia, collapse, apnea and coma.
The risk of symptoms of overdose associated with drug absorption, high in young children, especially if swallowed. Overdose in children can manifest CNS depression, accompanied by drowsiness, excessive sweating, severe hypotension, up to the shock.
Treatment: Specific antidote is unknown. Designate activated carbon, gastric lavage, oxygen inhalation, use of antipyretics, anticonvulsants. To lower blood pressure used phentolamine 5 mg in 0.9% NaCl solution slowly in/in or on 100 mg inside.
Precautions:
Tetryzolin in the form of eye drops should only be used in mild eye irritation. If irritation and redness of the conjunctiva associated with an infectious disease, presence of a foreign body or chemical injury of the cornea, it is necessary to consult an ophthalmologist.
If within 48 hours after application of eye drops symptoms persist, become more pronounced or appear side effects, you should stop using the product and consult with your optometrist.
With the appearance of intense pain in the eyes, headache, blurred vision, sudden appearance of floating spots before the eyes, redness of eyes, pain when exposed to light or double vision, you should immediately consult a doctor.
If you wear contact lenses remove them prior to instillation of the drug and re-install in 15 minutes after him. It is necessary to avoid direct contact of eye drops with soft contact lenses because of a possible violation of their transparency.
Effects on ability to drive or to perform work requiring high speed physical and mental reactions
