The composition and form of issue:

1 g of cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride 10 mg in tubes of 10 or 15 grams in a cardboard bundle 1 tuba.

Feature:

White homogeneous cream with characteristic faint odor.

Pharmacological action:

Inhibits the enzyme skvalenepoksidazu on the fungal cell membrane, disrupting the biosynthesis of sterols (including ergosterol), which leads to the accumulation of intracellular squalene and cell death of the fungus.

Pharmacokinetics:

The local application is absorbed less than 5% of the active substance.

Description pharmacological action:

Effective against fungi causing diseases of skin, hair and nails, including dermatophytes (fungicidal activity), fungi of the genus Candida and Pityrosporum orbiculare (fungicidal or fungistatic).

Indications:

Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes (Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton violaceum, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum), yeast fungi, pityriasis versicolor, caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Perhaps on strict conditions, if the expected effect therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (requiring discontinuation of treatment), flushing, burning sensation, itching at the site of application of drug (usually not requiring discontinuation of treatment).

Method of application and dose:

Locally, thin layer on the skin (previously cleaned and dried) and adjacent areas of the skin, slightly vtiraya, 1-2 times a day. The duration and frequency of application: for ringworm of the trunk, legs and feet — 1 month 1 time a day, with colorful leaves — 1 month 2 times a day. Infections, accompanied by the chafing of the place of application of the ointment can be covered with gauze (especially at night).

Precautions:

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental ingestion drug in the eye should be thoroughly rinsed with running water. In the case of irregular treatment or premature termination there is a risk of recurrence of the infection.
