Pharmacokinetics:

Succinic and citric acids are fully metabolized to water and carbon dioxide and do not accumulate in the body.

Description pharmacological action:

Has metabolic, anti-hypoxic and antioxidant properties, increases appetite, reduces the toxic effects of alcohol.

Due to the stimulation of redox reactions of respiration and ATP synthesis, the drug activates the physiological functions of organs and tissues (thus improving adaptation and compensatory-protective capabilities of the body), enhances the secretion of gastric juice, the formation of hydrochloric acid, increases appetite, enhances the contractile function of striated and smooth muscles, improves performance, and diastolic blood pressure, accelerates the oxidation of ethanol and acetaldehyde, reduces the toxic effects of alcohol.

The action of Limontar is manifested in 10-20 minutes after ingestion.

Indications:

• the enhancement of nonspecific reactivity of the organism of pregnant women, improvement of the adaptive and compensatory-protective capacity, in order to prevent complications in hypoxia and malnutrition of the fetus, when miscarriage
  
• prevention of intoxication
  
• reducing toxic effects of alcohol in acute alcoholic intoxication mild to moderate severity and an intoxication disorders
  
• complex therapy of drunken state in patients with chronic alcoholism and asthenovegetative disorders (severe General weakness, decreased performance, appetite) during the period of alcohol withdrawal syndrome
  
• as a "test meal" in the study of secretory and acid-forming function of the stomach.
  

Contraindications:

• hypertension
  
• CAD
  
• glaucoma
  
• ulcers disease stomach and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage
  
• severe forms of late gestosis.
  

Side effects:

Perhaps the appearance of pain in the epigastric region (typically, these phenomena are alone 3-5 min). In persons prone to hypertension after taking the drug may increase the HELL.

Drug interactions:

Reduces the effect of barbiturates, tranquilizers.

Method of application and dose:

Inside. Pregnant women in I and II trimesters of pregnancy, 1 tab. (0.25 g) per day for 10 days, in the III trimester prescribed for 10-25 days prior to delivery. The total dose for the gestation period is 5 to 7, 5 g.

To prevent intoxication, 1 tab. for 20-60 minutes before drinking.

In a state of acute alcoholic intoxication — 1 table. 2-4 times a day at intervals of 1-2. 5 h

For the relief of drunken States — 1 table. 3-4 times a day within 4 to 10 days. In the first 2 days the dose may be increased to 2 tab. for the reception.

When alcohol withdrawal syndrome to eliminate asthenovegetative disorders — 1 table. 3-4 times a day for 4-10 days, both independently and in combination with traditional drugs.

The appearance of the feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region is applied after a meal. Before taking a pill crushed and dissolved in water with baking soda (on the tip of a knife). To dissolve you can use mineral water.
