The composition and form of issue:

1 chewable tablet contains calcium carbonate 1500mg (equivalent to 600mg calcium) and colecalciferol (vitamin D3) 400 IU in vials of 60 pieces, in a cardboard box 1 vial.

Pharmacological action:

Whereas the lack of calcium and vitamin D3 in the body, inhibits the production of parathyroid hormone, reduces resorption and increases bone density.

Pharmacokinetics:

Vitamin D3 and calcium are absorbed in the small intestine.

Indications:

Osteoporosis (menopausal, senile, steroid, idiopathic, etc.) and its complications, including bone fractures (prevention and complex therapy) the replenishment of calcium and vitamin D3 (including the elderly).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, kidney stones, sarcoidosis, and metastatic tumors in the bone, pronounced renal dysfunction osteoporosis caused by prolonged immobilization of the overdose of vitamin D3.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Perhaps, but no more than 1500 mg of calcium and 600 IU of vitamin D3 per day.

Side effects:

Diarrhoeal phenomenon (constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain) increased the calcium content in the blood and urine (with prolonged use).

Drug interactions:

Effect weaken phenytoin and barbiturates, which enhance the heart — glycosides. Calcium and vitamin D3 increases the absorption of tetracyclines (required 3-hour interval between doses), decrease — bisphosphonates and fluorides (required 2-hour interval between meals). Corticosteroids reduce absorption of calcium, furosemide and other loop diuretics promote calcium excretion by the kidneys. Cholestyramine and laxatives based on mineral or vegetable oil reduce the absorption of vitamin D3. The acid reaction of food increases the absorption of calcium, alkaline reduces.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, chewing or dissolving, as a preventive measure: adults — 1-2 table. a day course for prevention of osteoporosis: 1 tab. 2 times a day, morning and evening (preferably with meals), for the treatment of osteoporosis: dosage and duration of treatment determined by the doctor.

Precautions:

Use with caution when impaired renal function, phenylketonuria (contains aspartame). During long-term treatment required to control the content of calcium in the blood and urine. When the level of calcium in the urine above 7.5 mmol per day, increasing the concentration of calcium or creatinine in the serum it is necessary to reduce the dose or temporarily discontinue treatment. The simultaneous use of diuretics from the group of thiazides increases the risk of hypercalcemia.

Special instructions:

Do not use simultaneously with vitamin-mineral complexes containing calcium and vitamin D3. You must take into account the possible additional intake of vitamin D3 from other sources.
