The staphylococcal bacteriophage - immunobiological drug phage.

Staphylococcal bacteriophage has the ability to specifically lick staphylococcal bacteria isolated from purulent infections, including Staphylococcus aureus.

  • diseases of the ear, throat, nose, Airways and lungs (sinusitis, otitis media, sore throat, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy),
  • surgical infections (purulent wounds, infected burns, abscess, phlegmon, furuncle, carbuncle, hidradenitis, panaritium, infiltrated and abscessed staphylococcal sycosis, paraproctitis, mastitis, bursitis, tendovaginitis, osteomyelitis),
  • urogenital pathology (urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, colpitis, endometritis, salpingooforit),
  • enteric pathology (gastroenterocolitis, cholecystitis, intestinal dysbiosis),
  • generalized septic diseases,
  • pyo-inflammatory diseases of newborns (omphalitis, gastroenterocolitis, sepsis),
  • other diseases of staphylococcal etiology,
  • prevention of purulent processes in newly infected wounds (abdominal and thoracic surgery, street and industrial injuries, etc.), for the prevention of nosocomial infections according to epidemic indications.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of staphylococcal bacteriophage no.

Side effect

Reactions to the introduction of staphylococcal bacteriophage have not been established.

In case of intradermal injection, rapid reversible redness and inflammation may occur.

Method of application and doses

The main conditions for the use of bacteriophage is the early use of a drug that meets the etiology of the disease, its direct introduction into the focus of infection.

Depending on the nature of the focus of infection bacteriophage is used:

1.) Topically in the form of irrigation, tools and plugging of the liquid in the amount of phage to 200 ml, depending on the size of the affected area, or lubricating ointment.

With boils and carbuncles, the liquid preparation can be injected directly into the hearth or under the base of the infiltration, as well as around the hearth by calcination. Injection of bacteriophage to produce daily or every other day depending on reactions in sequentially increasing doses: 1 injection of 0.5 ml, then 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 ml. Total for the cycle of treatment produced 3-5 injections.

In abscesses bacteriophage is injected into the cavity of the hearth after removal of pus by puncture, the amount of the drug should be slightly less than the amount of remote pus. Pus can be removed by opening the abscess, followed by the introduction into the cavity of a tampon, richly moistened with bacteriophage.

In chronic osteomyelitis, staphylococcal bacteriophage is injected into the wound after appropriate surgical treatment.

2.) For the treatment of deep forms of piodermitov drug used intradermal in small doses 0.1-0.5 ml in one place or, if necessary, up to 2 ml in several places. Just 10 injections every 24 hours.

3.) Introduction to the cavity-abdominal, pleural, articular and other up to 100 ml bacteriophage, after which the cavity is tightly sewn or left capillary drainage, through which for several days re-injected bacteriophage. When cystitis bacteriophage is injected into the bladder through a catheter.

In purulent pleurisy, bursitis or arthritis bacteriophage is injected into the cavity (after removal of pus) in an amount of up to 200 ml or more, every other day, only 3-4 times.

4.) In intestinal forms of the disease caused by Staphylococcus, and dysbiosis, liquid bacteriophage is used per os and per rectum using enema or by introducing rectal candles. Per os bacteriophage is given 2 times a day on an empty stomach for 1, 5-2 hours before meals and per rectum-once a day.
