Description pharmaceutical form:
Tablets: biconvex shape and a dark orange to brownish orange, film-coated.
Liniment: homogeneous dense mass from light orange to orange in color with a specific smell.
Feature:
Antimicrobial agent of plant origin. Is the sum of bisulfate natural alkaloids sangvinarina and heleritrina (similar in structure and properties of Quaternary bezoperatsionnye alkaloids), derived from herbs of Maclay cordate (Macleaya cordata Willd.) R. Br. and Maklai small (Macleaya microcarpa Maxim.) Fedde.
Pharmacological action:
It has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, acting against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (of the genus Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Shigella, Escherichia, Salmonella, Proteus, Acinetobacter, Citrobacter, Pseudomonas, Serratia, Klebsiella, Antracoides, Cryptococcus), pathogenic fungi of the genus Microsporum, Trichophyton, Nocardia, Aspergillus, yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, including multidrug resistant strains of microorganisms, as well as Actinomyces and some pathogenic protozoa (Entamoeba histolytica, Trichomonas vaginalis). At therapeutic doses it acts bacteriostatic. The mechanism of antimicrobial action Sangviritrin includes the suppression of bacterial nucleases, the violation of the processes of the permeability of the cell walls and partitions division. The drug also has weak anticholinesterase activity and may be effective for myopathy and disorders caused by cerebral palsy and polio.
Indications:
Pills. Complex therapy of acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases: acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, foodborne diseases), wound infections and various infectious complications caused by pathogens (bacteria carrying reconvalescence), diseases associated with disruption of normal microflora (dysbiosis), as well as diseases caused by pathogenic fungi (faringomikoza, candidiasis, microsporia).
The water-alcohol solution. External and chronic suppurative otitis media, pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis, onychomycosis, dermatomycosis, including complicated mixed flora prevention of inflammatory complications and wound infection in surgical interventions.
Liniment. Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes of bacterial and fungal etiology, including Candida albicans, in dentistry — periodontitis, aphthous stomatitis, ulcerative-necrotic gingivostomatitis in the surgery with infected burns, nonhealing wounds and ulcers, in gynecology, in endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, erosion of cervix in dermatology — with pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis, ringworm.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug, liver and kidney dysfunction, epilepsy.

Side effects:
Allergic reactions.

Method of application and dose:
Sangviritrin pills
Inside, after eating, without chewing. Adults usually 2 table. 3-4 times a day (if necessary up to 9 tables./day). Children 11-15 years in the 1-2 table. 3 times a day (daily dose up to 6 table). 4-10 years — 1 table. 3-4 times a day, 1-3 years — 1 table. on life year (1 year — 1 tab./days 2 years — 1 table. 1-2 times a day 3 years — 1 table. 2-3 times a day, etc.). The duration of treatment is: acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, foodborne diseases), 5-7 days (if needed 10 days) dysbiosis — up to 10-14 days, the bacteria carrying (bacterial excretion) — 7-14 days faringomikoza, candidiasis — up to 14 days microsporia — 4-5 weeks. After consultation with the doctor, repeated treatment is possible.
Sangviritrin solution of 0.2%
