DESCRIPTION
Butavit 100 is an antibacterial solution for intramuscular and subcutaneous administration. In appearance, the drug is a transparent solution from light pink to red color without mechanical inclusions.
STRUCTURE
1.0 ml of the drug contains 100 mg of butaphosphane, 0.05 mg of cyanocobalamin, excipients (butyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide), water for injection up to 1.0 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Butavit 100 is a complex restorative and tonic drugs, normalizes metabolic and regenerative processes, has a stimulating effect on protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, increases the body's resistance to adverse environmental factors, promotes the growth and development of animals.
Butaphosphane is an organic compound of phosphorus that improves liver function, stimulates the conversion of ADP to ATP, increases the contractile activity of smooth muscles, and stimulates the formation of bone tissue.
Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), which is part of the drug, activates the processes of hematopoiesis, the synthesis of nucleic acids, restores the level of suppressor lymphocytes to normal, participates in the synthesis of methionine, promotes the formation of glycogen, mobilizes energy reserves necessary for the formation of deoxyribose and DNA synthesis.
The drug is well tolerated by all types of animals of different ages. It is rapidly absorbed from the injection site and has high bioavailability. In the recommended doses, it does not have a local irritant, sensitizing, embryotoxic and teratogenic effect, it does not accumulate in the body.
PURPOSE
Butavit 100 is used for large and small cattle, horses, pigs, dogs, cats with metabolic disorders of various etiologies, as well as as a stimulating and tonic agent: to increase the body's resistance to diseases of various etiologies; to accelerate recovery in viral and bacterial infections; as an additional tool in the treatment of animals with diseases caused by a lack of calcium and magnesium in the body; in infertility and for its prevention; in the pathology of childbirth and postpartum complications; with heavy physical exertion and increased physical activity in animals.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The drug is used intramuscularly or subcutaneously once a day for 4-5 days in the following single doses (ml per animal): horses, cattle-10.0-25.0; foals, calves-5.0-12.0; sheep, goats-2.5-8.0; lambs, goats-1.5-2.5; pigs-2.5-10.0; piglets-suckers, piglets-1.0-2.5; dogs-0.5-5.0; cats-0.5-2.5.
In the chronic course of the disease, as well as for the prevention of diseases, the drug is used in half the doses of the above. If necessary, repeat the course in 5 to 14 days.
The drug does not replace or exclude the use of antibacterial and other means of etiotropic and pathogenetic therapy.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The drug is approved for use in pregnant and lactating animals.
Meat and milk of animals are used for food purposes without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of the drug is contraindicated in case of individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. If allergic and other adverse reactions occur, the drug is canceled and antihistamines and calcium preparations are prescribed.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in the recommended doses in accordance with the instructions, adverse reactions and complications are not observed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The drug is stored according to list B in a dry, protected from light place at a temperature of plus 5 °C to plus 25 °C. The shelf life of the drug is 2 years from the date of production, subject to the rules of storage and transportation. Do not use after the expiration date. After opening the bottle, the contents should be used within 48 hours. Keep out of reach of children.
