Pharmacological action

Ichthyol suppositories - anti-inflammatory agent, has a local analgesic, antiseptic, keratoplastic effect. When directly acting on the mucosa causes mild irritation of the sensitive nerve endings, followed by a decrease in their sensitivity.

Causes denaturation of protein molecules. It has a positive effect on the area of mucosal inflammation: it regulates vascular tone, restores peripheral blood circulation.

Indications

• In gynecology: endometritis, salpingoophoritis. ,
• In urology: chronic non-specific prostatitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosage and administration

Rectally, 1-2 suppositories a day, after a cleansing enema or spontaneous bowel movement.

Local allergic reactions are possible.
