Description pharmaceutical form:

Gelatin capsules blue color.

The contents of capsules — powder white-cream color, are allowed conglomerates (lumps), associated with the peculiarities of the spatial structure. A capsule size: No. 1 — 250 mg to 500 mg.

Pharmacokinetics:

More than 70% chondroitin sulfate is absorbed in the digestive tract. After a single ingestion Cmax in plasma achieved through 3-4 h, in the synovial fluid (where the drug accumulates) for 4-5 h. Bioavailability is 13%. Excreted by the kidneys.

Description pharmacological action:

Influences on exchange processes in hyaline and fibrous cartilage, reduces degenerative changes in the cartilage of joints, stimulates biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans. Slows bone resorption and reduces the loss of calcium, accelerates bone tissue restoration. Reduces pain and increases mobility of the affected joints. Therapeutic effect persists for a long time after the end of treatment.

Indications:

• osteoarthritis
  
• intervertebral osteochondrosis.
  

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to the drug
  
• children up to age 15 years (due to the lack of accurate data).
  

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Not recommended due to the lack of sufficient clinical data.

Side effects:

Rarely, allergic reactions (urticaria, erythema, itching), nausea, vomiting.

Drug interactions:

With simultaneous use may increase the action of indirect anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, fibrinolitikov.

Method of application and dose:

Inside, squeezed water. Adults and adolescents 15 years — 1 g/day: 2 caps. (250 mg) or 1 capsule. (500 mg) 2 times a day. Recommended duration of initial course of 6 months, the period of action of the drug after its cancellation — 3-5 months depending on the location and stage of the disease, duration of repeated courses is determined by the doctor.

Special instructions:
