The composition and form of issue:
1 ml solution for injection contains tobramitina sulfate 3 mg of dexamethasone sodium phosphate 1 mg and excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium EDTA, sodium chloride, creatinine, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, water for injection in plastic bottle of 5 ml, in a cardboard box 1 vial.
Pharmacological action:
Tobramycin (aminoglycoside II generation) blocks of 30-S subunit of ribosomes and stops protein synthesis, in higher concentrations, in violation of the zitoplazmaticakih membranes, causing cell death. Active against gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Citrobacter spp., Enterobacter spp.) and gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Morganella morganii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Providencia spp., Serratia spp.). Dexamethasone (fluorinated glucocorticoid), interacts with specific receptors zitoplazmaticakimi to form complex enters the nucleus of the cells and stimulate the synthesis of mRNA. Prevents the release of inflammatory mediators from eosinophils and mast cells. Reduces activity of hyaluronidase, collagenase, proteases and capillary permeability, stabilizes cell membranes, has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and immunosuppressive effect, local antipruritic and vasoconstrictive effect.
Indications:
Infectious diseases of the eye and periorbital area, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis blepharoconjunctivitis (without damage of the epithelium) prevention of postoperative infections in ophthalmic surgery.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (Herpes simplex, chicken pox) tuberculosis of the eye fungal disease of the eye condition after removal of the foreign body of the cornea, pregnancy, lactation, children's age.
Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Only possible by the doctor if the expected effect therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Local allergic reactions: swelling, itching of the eyelids, conjunctival erythema
increased intraocular pressure (with prolonged use) if used consistently for more than 3 months may develop cataracts, fungal infections of the cornea, the slowing of regeneration processes.
Drug interactions:
Simultaneous systematic appointment of aminoglycosides or steroids should be monitored corresponding to the total concentration in the blood serum.
Method of application and dose:
Conjunctival, 1-2 drops in affected eye/eyes every 4 to 6 hours in severe infections — 2 drops every hour to obtain a clinical effect, then the dose is gradually reduced until canceled.
Overdose:
Symptoms: punctate keratitis, erythema, increased lacrimation, edema and itching of the eyelids.
Treatment: cancel the drug, symptomatic therapy.
Special instructions:
If more than 10 days, it is necessary to regularly measure the intraocular pressure.
During treatment it is forbidden to wear soft contact lenses. If you use hard lenses should be removed before instillation and again put on 15-20 min after the procedure.
Patients after application temporarily lost the clarity of vision, it is not recommended to drive or operate machinery immediately after instillation of the drug.
The bottle must be closed after each use. Do not touch the tip of the pipette to the eye.
