Barium carbonicum (Barium carbonicum) C6 — enlargement and inflammation of the tonsils with a tendency to suppuration, frequent exacerbations. Seal of the tonsils. The presence of adenoids and polyps. During exacerbation: fever, a sharp and burning pain in the throat when swallowing, in the morning, the accumulation of viscous mucus in the throat. Submandibular and parotid enlarged and condensed. Susceptibility to colds with the rise in body temperature. A dry cough, worse at night. Rhinitis with serous or purulent discharge, formation of crusts in the posterior nasal apertures.
Hepar sulphuris (Hepar sulphur) C6 — Chronic enlarged tonsils with purulent exacerbation of colds. Stabbing pain in the throat when swallowing. Often dry or sore throat to prevent talking. Purulent plugs in lacunae of tonsils. The increase and compaction of the cervical glands. Cooling causes inflammation of the nasopharynx with abundant serous discharge, with low, but long - sory rise in body temperature. Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni (Mercurius solubilis) C6 — enlarged tonsils with congestion, and pus in the follicles. Fever. Prolonged runny nose with mucous secretions or thick secretions greenish coloration, hypertrophy of the mucous membrane of the nose. Atrophy of the mucous membrane and dryness of the nose. Chronic indolent inflammation of the ear with serous or purulent discharge.
These symptoms are characteristic adenoidal and nasal polyps, chronic tonsillitis, recurrent angina. There is increased tendency to colds.
