Description pharmaceutical form:
Tablets, coated light yellow in color, with a greenish tint, with a slight odor of vanillin, in cross section are visible two layers.

The ointment is yellow or brownish-yellow color.
Feature:
Antibiotic from the group of Polenov, actinomycetes produced by Streptomyces noursei.
Pharmacological action:
By binding to sterols in the fungi cell wall and disrupts its permeability, which leads to the release of major components of cells. Active against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, including Candida albicans. There has cumulative properties.
Pharmacokinetics:
Poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The bulk of the drug taken orally, is excreted in the feces. The local application through the mucous membranes is not absorbed.
Indications:
Mucosal candidiasis (including vaginal, rectal and lower intestine), skin and internal organs prevention of candidiasis at long treatment by antibacterial means, especially in malnourished and debilitated patients.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, violation of the liver, pancreatitis, ulcers disease stomach and duodenal ulcers, pregnancy.
Side effects:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sometimes fever, chills. Possible risk of spreading resistant forms of fungi (requires discontinuation of the drug).
Drug interactions:
While the use of nystatin and clotrimazole with the activity of the latter decreases.
Method of application and dose:
Inside, regardless of meals. Adults — 500,000 U 4 -8 times a day. In a generalized candidiasis daily dose increase to 6000000 UNITS. Children at the age from 1 year to 3 years — 250000 IU, 3-4 times a day, over 13 years in the 250000-500000 IU 4 times a day. The course of treatment is 10-14 days. If necessary, the course can be repeated after a week.
Rectal deep into the rectum 1 suppository 2 times a day (morning and evening). The course of treatment is 10-14 days. The duration of treatment and the need for repeated courses is determined by the physician.
Vaginally, after the hygienic procedures for -500000 2 250000 IU twice a day (morning and evening). The course of treatment is 10-14 days.
Locally, ointment are thin layer on the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes 1-2 times a day for 7-10 days. Can be combined with the reception of the drug inside.
Special instructions:
Fungal diseases of the vagina it is recommended that simultaneous treatment of sexual partner. During treatment avoid sexual contacts.
During menstruation, the treatment should not be interrupted.
