The composition and form of issue:

Cream for external use 1%. 100 g contains: isoconazole nitrate 1 g

excipients: Polysorbate 60 sorbitan stearate cetylstearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol 60%, stearyl alcohol 40%) liquid paraffin white petroleum jelly purified water 

in the aluminium tubes to 20 grams in a cardboard bundle 1 tuba.

Description pharmaceutical form:

White or slightly yellowish opaque cream.

Pharmacokinetics:

When applied to the skin, systemic absorption is negligible.

Description pharmacological action:

The isoconazole — synthetic derivative of imidazole. Provides local antifungal and antibacterial action. Acts fungistaticeski, with increasing concentration of fungicide. Inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol and alters the composition of the membrane of a microbial cell. Active against dermatophytes Trichophyton spp. Microsporum spp. Epidermophyton spp. molds, yeasts and yeast-like fungi (Candida spp., Pityrosporum orbiculare), and Corynebacterium minutissimum, the causative agent of erythrasma and gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus spp. Streptococcus spp.

Indications:

Fungal skin infections, including secondarily infected:

• fungal infections of feet and smooth skin, including localization in the folds of the vulva
  
• mikrosporia, .
  
• athlete
  
• candidiasis
  
• colorful (pityriasis) versicolor
  
• eritrazma.
  

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

The use of the drug during pregnancy is possible in cases where the potential benefit to the mother outweighs risk to the fetus. Not installed, whether isoconazole penetrates into breast milk, therefore drug should not be applied to the breast before feeding. If you need the drug to solve the issue with a doctor about stopping breastfeeding.

Side effects:

Usually, Travogen well tolerated, even when applied to sensitive skin. Rarely may develop irritation (burning sensation and itching, erythema), extremely rare — allergic skin reactions.

Drug interactions:

Clinical trials and the use of the drug in medical practice did not reveal incompatibilities or interactions with other drugs.

Method of application and dose:

Externally, adults and children from the age of 1 month. Travogen, apply a thin layer to the affected areas and RUB gently 1 time a day. The course of treatment usually lasts 2-3 weeks, with localization of fungal infections in the folds — up to 4 weeks. It is possible to hold and a longer course of treatment. To prevent relapse, treatment should continue for 2 weeks after resolution of clinical manifestations.

Overdose:

To date information on overdosage is not available.

Special instructions:

The preparation is intended for external use only.

At the first symptoms indicating sensitivity or irritation, the drug should be stopped.

Avoid falling drug in the eye. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

The appearance of side effects, which are not mentioned in the instructions, you must inform your doctor about them.

In the absence of effect in the treatment you should consult a doctor.

Use in Pediatrics

Treatment Travogen children from 1 month to 2 years performed under the supervision of a physician.
