PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Antimicrobial, antibacterial (bactericidal). Inhibits the synthesis of peptidoglycan-the main structural component of the bacterial cell wall. Resistant to beta-lactamase. Active against many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, E. coli, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, N. gonorrhoeae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella oxytoca, Pasteurella multocida, Providencia species, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Citrobacter diversus, Serratia marcescens, etc. is Rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. INDICATIONS FOR USE
Urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated gonorrhoea of the urethra and cervix.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, breast-feeding (at the time of treatment discontinue), children's age up to 6 months.
SIDE EFFECT
Allergic reactions: urticaria, skin hyperemia, itching, itching in the genital area, eosinophilia, fever, multiform exudative erythema (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome). From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, tinnitus. From the genitourinary system: vaginitis. From the urinary system: renal dysfunction, interstitial nephritis. From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, pseudomembranous colitis, dysbacteriosis, cholestasis, cholestatic jaundice. METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE
For adults and children weighing more than 50 kg the daily dose is 400 mg in one or two doses. Children weighing 25-50 kg the drug is prescribed at a dose of 200 mg per day in one dose.The tablet can be swallowed, drinking enough water, or diluted in water and drink the resulting suspension immediately after preparation. The drug can be taken regardless of meals. The duration of treatment depends on the nature of the disease and the type of infection. After the disappearance of SIM-ptoms of infection and / or fever, it is advisable to continue taking the drug for at least 48-72 hours.The course of treatment for respiratory and ENT infections is 7-14 days. With tonsillopharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes, the duration of treatment should be at least 10 days. With uncomplicated gonorrhea, the drug is prescribed at a dose of 400 mg once. In uncomplicated infections of the lower urinary tract in women, the drug can be prescribed for 3-7 days, in uncomplicated infections of the upper urinary tract in women – 14 days. In uncomplicated infections of the upper and lower urinary tract in men, the duration of treatment is 7-14 days. In violation of kidney dose set depending on the rate of creatinine clearance (CC) in the blood serum.
OVERDOSE
Symptoms: increased adverse reactions, especially from the gastrointestinal tract. Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of antihistamines and glucocorticoids.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION
