Pharmacokinetics:

Indications:
Infections caused by anaerobic pathogens: wound infection, infection of the respiratory system, urinary tract, intestines prevention of anaerobic infections before surgery on the bowel trichomoniasis, amoebiasis, giardiasis, Crohn's disease.

Side effects:

Method of application and dose:
Parenteral adults and children over 12 years: 500 mg (100 ml of infusion solution)/3 times a day, to begin the introduction with 1 g (200 ml). Children under 12 years: 20 mg/kg of body weight per day (3 admission). Parenteral injected for 20-30 minutes in the form of drip infusion with isotonic sodium chloride solution or glucose solution. Parenteral administration is used only in the case of acute and severe infections or in cases where oral introduction is not possible. Oral: trichomoniasis, 250 mg 2 times a day for 7-10 days or 2 g once. Sexual partners should be treated simultaneously. In acute amoebic dysentery and amoebic liver abscess adult: 2 g daily for 2-3 days, children 35-50 mg/kg of body weight per day (in 3 divided doses) for 5 days. Ulcerative gingivitis adults: 250 mg 3 times a day for 3 days. Anaerobic bacterial infections adults: 500 mg 3 times a day, children 20 mg/kg of body weight per day (3 admission). Prophylactically with operations adult 1 g 2 hours before surgery, then 500 mg 3 times a day for 2 -3 days children 25 mg/kg 2 hours before surgery then 20 mg/kg / day (in 3 divided doses) for 2-3 days. Precautions:
