Composition and form of issue:

Capsules. 1 capsule contains:

cefalexin 250 or 500 mg

in blistere 8 PCs., in box 2 blisters.

Granules for preparation of suspension for oral administration 5 ml

(the suspension) 

cefalexin 250 mg

in bottles with 40 g of granulate for oral suspension 100 ml, complete with a dosage spoon in a box 1 set.

Pharmacological action:

Violate peptidoglicana synthesis of cell walls and cause lysis of the microorganisms.

Indications:

Upper and lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue infections otitis media osteomyelitis endometritis gonorrhoea, cystitis, dermatitis.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation (breastfeeding should be suspended).

Side effect:

Dry mouth, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cholestatic jaundice, hepatitis, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, candidiasis, changes in the pattern of peripheral blood (leukopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia) transient increase in liver transaminases, allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, dermatitis, eosinophilia, edema kvingtral).

Drug interaction:

Incompatible with alcohol.

Method of application and doses:

Inside, 30-60 minutes before meals with water. Adults-250-500 mg every 6-12 hours in diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug. In infectious diseases caused by less sensitive microorganisms, the daily dose is 2-4 g. the Minimum daily dose is 1 g. 

Children appoint a rate of 25-50 (up to 100) mg/kg. Children under 10 years should appoint a drug in form of suspension. The multiplicity of reception — 4 times a day.

The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 6 years — 4 years the Duration of treatment is 7-14 days. In infectious diseases caused by Streptococcus, the course of treatment — at least 10 days.
