The composition and form of issue:

1 dose aerosol contains sodium nedocromil 2 mg in cans in a plastic case with a mouthpiece for 112 doses, in a carton 1 spray.

Pharmacological action:

Stabilizing the membrane and inhibits the degranulation of mast cells in the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and release of these mediators of inflammation (histamine, bradykinin, slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis, cytokines, etc.).

Pharmacokinetics:

Absorbed from the respiratory tract into the systemic circulation and is excreted unchanged in the bile and urine. Of the drug deposited in the oropharynx, swallowed and excreted via the gastrointestinal tract (very poorly absorbed in the digestive tract). Does not accumulate in the body even after prolonged use.

Clinical pharmacology:

The effect in most cases occurs within weeks after start of treatment. Prolonged therapy leads to reduction of bronchial hyperresponsiveness and improve objective measures of lung function.

Indications:

Bronchial asthma of various forms and origins (allergic, non-allergic, bronchial hyperreactivity, caused by specific and nonspecific stimuli), especially with the lack of effectiveness of bronchodilators.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity (including to individual components).

Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:

Be wary appointed in the first trimester.

Side effects:

Headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea. disorders, cough, bronchospasm.

Drug interactions:

Do (mutually) effect of bronchodilators.

Method of application and dose:

Inhalation. Adults (including elderly) and children aged over 2 years — daily 2 inhalation (4 mg) 4 times a day. After reaching effect of maintenance dose is usually 2 inhalations 2 times a day.

Overdose:

The probability of overdose is extremely low. In the case of its development, symptomatic treatment.

Precautions:

A regular daily admission. You cannot apply for relief of acute asthma attack. It is not recommended to stop taking the drug before completion of treatment or re-use it without consulting a doctor. The spray can should not pierce (contents under pressure).
