The composition and form of issue:
1 tablet contains clemastine fumarate 1 mg, in blistere 10 PCs., in box 2 blisters.
1 ml solution for injection 1 mg in 2 ml ampoules in a box 5 ampoules.
5 ml of syrup 0,67 mg in bottles of 60 or 100 ml.
Pharmacological action:
Selectively blocks histamine H1-receptors, reduces the permeability of capillaries.
Pharmacokinetics:
Almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. After oral administration Cmax is recorded in 2-4 hours Linking plasma protein — 95%. Metabolized in the liver, kidneys predominantly displayed. T1/2 of the two-phase and 3.6±0.9 and 37±16 h
Description pharmacological action:
Antihistamine effect reaches a maximum after 5-7 hours and lasts for 10-12 hours, and in some cases up to 24 hours
Indications:
Tablets and syrup: hay fever and other allergic rinopatii, urticaria, skin itch, pruritic dermatosis, eczema, contact dermatitis, skin reaction to medications or insect bites.
Solution for injection: anaphylactic or anaphylactoid shock, angioedema prevention and treatment of allergic and pseudoallergic reactions (with the introduction of radiopaque substances, blood transfusion, use of histamine for diagnostic purposes).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, diseases of the lower respiratory tract (including bronchial asthma), breast-feeding, child age (tablet — up to 6 years, injection — up to 1 year).
Application of pregnancy and breast-feeding:
In pregnancy only for health reasons. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
Side effects:
From the nervous system and sensory organs: fatigue, dizziness, sedation, drowsiness, and in some cases (especially in children) stimulant effects (anxiety, irritability, insomnia, tremor).
From the cardiovascular system and blood (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): rarely — palpitations, decrease in blood pressure, arrythmia.
From the respiratory system: rarely — thickening of bronchial secretions and obstruction of sputum, a feeling of compression in chest.
On the part of the digestive tract: dyspepsia, rarely — dry mouth, nausea, epigastric pain, constipation, in some cases, lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea.
Allergic reactions: very rarely — urticaria, rash, photosensitivity at/in the introduction in some cases, anaphylactic shock.
Other: very rarely — palpitations or shortness of urination.
Drug interactions:
Enhances the effect anccioliticakih, sedatives, hypnotics, alcohol, incompatible with MAO inhibitors.
Method of application and dose:
Inside. Adults and children over 12 years: 1 mg 2 times a day (morning and evening), before meals, with water, in severe cases up to 6 mg/day. Children 6-12 years: 0.5 — 1 mg before Breakfast and at night. Children aged 1-6 years, use syrup of 0.67 mg (1 teaspoon).
Injection. In/in struino slowly or/m in a dose of 2 mg in the morning or evening. Children in/m 0.025 mg/kg/day in two doses. To prevent allergic reactions — in/in slowly 2 mg immediately before a possible anaphylactic reaction or response in response to application of histamine. For/in the introduction it is possible to dissolve the drug isotonic sodium chloride solution or 5% glucose solution in the ratio 1:5.
Overdose:
Symptoms: oppression or initiation CNS, dry mouth, persistent mydriasis, flushing, disturbances of the gastrointestinal tract.
Treatment: induction of vomiting (while maintaining conscious), gastric lavage with isotonic sodium chloride solution (after after taking not more than 3 hours), the appointment of salt laxatives, symptomatic therapy.
Precautions:
With caution in diseases of cardiovascular system (including hypertension), increased intraocular pressure, angle-closure glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, stenosing gastric ulcer, obstructive processes in the pyloric and duodenal region, hypertrophy of the prostate gland (causing urinary retention), obstructive phenomena in the bladder neck.
It should not be used during the drivers of vehicles and people skills relate to the high concentration of attention.
